A weekend of wildness, reckoning & rest inspired by Charlotte McConaghy’s novel.

Join us for a restorative, book-centered weekend in the woods where we’ll explore Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy—its themes of love, longing, ecological care, and the stories we carry.

Together, we’ll slow down, read deeply, hold thoughtful group discussions, and spend time in guided personal reflection. This retreat is welcoming to a wide range of bodies, ages, identities.

  • Writing + reflection sessions

Retreat Logistics:

  • January 30, 2026 - 6pm PST kick-off

  • February 1, 2026 - noon PST retreat conclusion

  • The property is approx. a 40 min drive from PDX Airport in Portland, OR & includes wooded paths, cozy common areas, sauna, cold plunge, and several peaceful indoor spots for reading.

  • Exact address and carpool options from PDX will be shared upon registration.

  • High level itinerary:

    • Friday: Arrival, dinner, and opening connection

    • Saturday: Morning movement, group discussion, spacious solo time, creative workshop and an evening gathering

    • Sunday: Closing conversation and departures around midday

Pricing:

$850–$1050, depending on room type
Includes lodging, all meals, all activities, and full access to amenities.
