At Overleaf, we believe great literature can be both an escape and a catalyst for reflection, connection, and expansion. Through carefully chosen books, we create space to think deeply, feel honestly, and talk together about what stories stir in us.
Our mission is to help people see themselves and one another more clearly by exploring the questions, emotions, and tensions that books awaken. We gather in places that deepen the reading, from natural landscapes to spaces shaped by a book’s questions, creating room to slow down, reflect, and engage together.
We do this because we love books and believe that shared attention, curiosity, and conversation can change how we experience both stories and our own lives.
Our Mission
We’re Meghan and Maggie, friends since our wonderfully awkward high school years, and longtime co-conspirators in all things bookish.
Across different cities and different eras of our lives, we’ve wandered used bookstores on opposite coasts, traded dog-eared favorites across time zones, and somehow always found our way back to long conversations about the stories that were changing us.
Overleaf Retreats grew from that lifelong thread; it’s an invitation to share the magic of reading deeply, creating space for reflection, and connecting with others who love getting lost in a good book just as much as we do
