Each event pairs guided discussion with a setting or shared activity that brings a book’s themes to life. More accessible than our retreats, events offer a way to linger with a story without the commitment of a full weekend away.

We’ll meet to discuss The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch followed by the film adaptation viewing at Tomorrow Theater.
The Emperor of Gladness: Food Bank Volunteering
We’ll sort food together @ Oregon Food Bank, then gather to discuss The Emperor of Gladness, the meaning of care in ordinary work, and other themes in Ocean Vuong’s novel.
