The Chronology of Water: Discussion & Film Viewing

Location: Better Days Cafe + Tomorrow Theater in Portland, OR
Book: The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch
Cost: $20

Join us for an afternoon of conversation and cinema centered on The Chronology of Water, Lidia Yuknavitch’s visceral and genre-defying memoir on embodiment, art, addiction, grief, and becoming.

We’ll gather at Better Days Cafe at 1:00 PM for a facilitated discussion of the book. Around 2:45 PM, we’ll walk together to Tomorrow Theater to view the film adaptation and remain for their brief post-screening conversation. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at both locations.

A gentle note: both the book and film contain emotionally intense material, including themes of trauma and abuse. We encourage you to look into the content beforehand to ensure this feels supportive for you at this time. We’ll hold the conversation with care and intention.

Interested in joining? Fill out the form below to register for the event. We'll follow up with availability & additional information to confirm your attendance.
